Celeste Castilla, mother of the girls Celeste and Fernanda who died in a tragic incident last February, broke her silence after three months and turned to social media to warn about her former nanny, Yaretsi C, who was responsible for caring for the little ones. The girls, aged 2 and 4, died from asphyxiation while sleeping in a poorly ventilated room.
Castilla held Yaretsi C responsible for negligence and carelessness, highlighting strange behavior on the part of the nanny. "I trusted her, I treated her the best way at all times, and still, she did not act as she should have in the unfortunate situation," Castilla stated, also mentioning that Yaretsi C worked with her for a year and constantly lied and held questionable religious beliefs.
Castilla warned in her Facebook message about Yaretsi C, asking people not to hire her. She explained that while the nanny was not directly responsible for the deaths of her daughters, there was a serious omission in her care. "I wouldn't want someone to go through a similar situation. Please do not hire her," Castilla wrote in her post.
So far, Yaretsi C has not responded to the accusations from her former employer. However, social media users expressed solidarity with Castilla, although some also pointed out that the nanny had a responsibility in caring for the girls. Castilla emphasized that Yaretsi C played a negligent role and that despite having trusted her, she did not act as necessary in the care of her daughters.
